Battle For North Walsham

The NANMA crew will be revolting at North Walsham! All the usual suspects will be there to intrigue and entertain you. Quill workshops for children and adults to try their hand, the making of the medieval longbow, siege warfare, expensive spices and cookery from the 14th century are just a few of our offerings.
This is a big multi group event and will feature many medieval activities. Archery and combat displays also a battle re-enactment on Sunday. Medieval traders, have-a-go archery and pony rides, as well as plenty of food and drink. You’ll also be able to see and talk to armoured knights, the peasant army and minstrels.
Please follow the link above for further information on the event.
The Battle for North Walsham took place around the 25th /26th June 1381, 641 years ago, and was part of the local protests against the Poll Tax which became known as the Peasants Revolt. Does that seem familiar? - nothing is new :)
